Not in Kansas Anymore!

Back

The usual worry dreams kept me up awhile before I could actually sleep. I had a hard time calming myself down enough to sleep. After all that however... The dream I had was freakin' weird! Even by my standards. As it was the dream I had just before waking, the images are hazy. If I were on drugs I'd have an excuse for this but... damn.

We were on an old wooden boat or train, I don't remember which. By we I mean Lisa and I. We had went camping there following some old Western ghost story. The reason it seemed like a train was because there were a bunch of different cars we jumped to to get away from these ghosts. The reason it seemed like a boat was that occasionally I was jumping planks over the ocean. We couldn't figure out these weird riddles to get rid of the ghosts so we were running around like idiots. There were more people than just Lisa and I. Anyways, there was a zombie-like ghost, an old cowboy ghost, this sailor ghost and a few others. They were closing in on us and I'm not sure what I did but I did something and the ghosts went away. The storm that had gathered over the place lifted and we were on our way home on a rescue boat. I was looking forward to seeing someone. In tears with joy that we survived and I would get to see him again. Lisa was in Jeff's arms.

We get home but it isn't really home. I mean, it struck me that we were in Kansas. Rolling hills of tilled soil and a sea of corn fields, the night sky was brilliant. It was so clear and crisp and that's when I noticed we definitely were not in Kansas! Giant radish-onion thingies with huge teeth spewing this cloud-like gas propelled themselves through the sky with their huge leaves. It was a quiet sound, like a fan cutting through hot air. These elephant things were settling in for the night by a huge tree that was actually some other kind of bird creature and these little clam rodents ran about. A scene I very clearly remember is this graveyard. All these ghosty skeletons and spirits chattering and this one skeleton ghost whipping them to get them to bed. He holds a torch and when everyone else but his friends have gone to bed, he turns around and starts chattering with them. This huge turtle comes out of the shadows and extinguishes the torch snapping at them to get to bed. Then it yawns and goes to sleep. There are these giant giraffe things standing by the sea bathing in the moonlight.

None of these creatures had eyes. There's nothing more to the dream however. Really weird.
