Art Trades, Requests & Commissions
Commission Status: Open
Art Trade Status: Open Request Status: Closed You want to... commission me? Are you crazy? Oh, okay. Perfect. Let's get one thing settled before we begin: By commissioning me, you are commissioning MY art. I will not draw copyrighted characters or mimic styles. You've seen my gallery [if not get to it right now] and I'm hoping you'll know what you're getting yourself into. Art TradesBefore going further, have you considered an art trade? I realize I'm not Madame Artiste of the millenium but I'll often do two or three full drawings to calibrate the odds ['kay I've done that once... shush]. I'll accept art trades anytime and anywhere and find them much better than money. Money's great and all but I've never been good at the pricing of the art stuff. If you'd like to make a trade, you can still read this through, I'm sure there's something semi-helpful and drop me a line. CommissionsI'll be perfectly honest: I haven't done a whole lot of commissions 'cept for a few friends and random people in town. So... I'm a cheap whore. *grins* My only policy really is that you look at what it is I draw. I've had a few people commission me to do some stuff way outside of my comfort zone and that's fine... but don't expect it to be reminiscent of Salvador Dali or Edgar Degas. I try to retain a level of professionalism in my doodles. If you give me leeway, I'm going to go the artistic mile and a half. If you don't want me to throw in some creative licensing be obscenely specific and whip me if you have to... I'll probably like it. That said, we move on. My Fortés
Truly that is a list of what I'm comfortable with. While I will gladly make my best attempt at anything you could possibly ask for, take a good look at my style. There's a reason art schools reject me. Heh heh. I still love to draw for myself and others which is why this is here. So, this is what I do unless otherwise specified: Something about my "technique"
A word on commission/art trade process...I am a fickle creature. I will heckle you about details and I can only work as fast as you respond to my questions. You e-mail me about a commission/art trade, we discuss what you want, plus shipping price [if applicable, art trades are generally e-mailed], mediums, type and total cost. I will, for both commissions and art trades, show you the sketch in progress so you can tell me if there are any details missing or something else to add... after that I'm going for broke and you'll next see the finished product. As far as colour goes, I sometimes wish prisma pencils had 6 million and some colours like Photoshop, I really do, but they don't. If I feel unsure about a colour description, I will ask about it. What I Will Not DoQuite simply, I will not try copyrighted characters. I will draw your own, original or fanfiction characters. I will not draw any sexually explicit scenes, I don't have enough practice. I'm alright with drawing naked female characters but my anatomy studies are still lacking with the naked male form, 'til then I won't draw naked men unless it's waist up or concealed. I will not mimic styles from any cartoons or comic book series such as Lion King or Sonic or Evangelion. Seriously folks, I can't stress that enough. CopyrightsYour original characters are your original characters, my artwork is my artwork. Credit where credit is due, darlings. The commissioner, that's you, will retain all rights to your original characters that are used in the work. You can repost the commissioned work(s) for a NON-PROFIT manner ONLY, a link is appreciated but not necessary. The right to reprint the art is NOT part of the agreement which includes, but is not limited to, book covers, prints, CD covers. These are not commercial commissions but a personal piece for yourself. If you would like a commercial piece of work feel free to drop me a line.
These are guidelines. Prices may vary according to how much detail and difficulty is in the piece. Or, you know, if you feel generous. ;p Shipping & Payment Methods
