Just a Dream

Like ink emerging from the shadows themselves
I watch you approach and my spirit delves
Your intentions, your thoughts, I try chasing
But those burning eyes will reveal nothing

Cloaked in mystique with long dark hair
I am lost within the mystery you will not share
You smile softly and reach out to me
But I fear my own destructive insanity

A voice made of silk beckons my mind
I forget everything that keeps me intertwined

Promise that you'll dance with me when the angels die

Through hell and through nightmare

No more doubt within my soul
You filled that empty black hole

Just as I begin to smile in your embrace
I see the rage contort your sweet face
Like all the others, you run and hide
As I realize, it's all mental suicide

Tears in my eyes, I awaken
In a cold, cruel world of madmen
